Gosh, this is a little later than I'd hoped, but here, at last, are the projects we made at my "Mostly Cards" class this month. We were focussing on the fabulous "Botanical Blooms" stamp set and its co-ordinating suite of products and - oh my goodness - we had SO MUCH FUN!! It was so good to be back doing classes again. I have really missed it!
When I first saw this suite, I wasn't terribly taken with the stamp set, but I bought it along with the dies and DSP as the discount on the bundle (15%) was too good to miss. I'm so glad I did. They're actually really versatile and can work for creating backgrounds and focal points in their own right. I know I'm not the only one who had reservations, so I made sure that two of the cards that we made wer very heavily biased towards the stamping. Here they are (with a little thanks to the "Botanicals for You" and "Endless Thanks" stamp sets for the sentiments):
This next one brought in the DSP (look at how the stamped detail adds life to the already beautiful paper) and, of course, the utterly gorgeous dies. I can't imagine ever getting tired of being able to create flowers like this!
Another flower on this one, plus that fabulous die-cut border. I love that it's wide enough to cut a border across the entire width (or height) of an A6-sized card. Or you can angle it across the corner, as I did here. Either way, it's pretty special. I'm loving the Metal-Rimmed Pearls too, and the White Jute Ribbon. Lovely and tactile!
Choosing which projects to include in this class was SO hard. I ended up thinking that I should have scheduled this as a whole day's class, rather than just a couple of hours. It was SO difficult narrowing it down, and of course I've only been able to scratch the surface of what this fabulous suite can be used for. I've got loads more to show you, so watch out for more photos coming up. (Or check out my Facebook page or Instagram feed - I try to keep those updated with pics of projects as I make them.)
Finally, I wanted to share some pics of the lovely ladies who joined me for Saturday's class. Get me - I actually remembered to take some photos!! It was wonderful to share the afternoon with them, and to enjoy their company. Here they are, hard at work:
In our March classes, we're going to be creating a range of projects using the fab "Timeless Textures" stamp set, from the current Spring Summer catalogue. You can find out more information here. Fancy joining us? You'd be very welcome!
