Welcome!

Wed 8 Oct 2014

Hello again! It's Wednesday already, which means that there are some fantastic new Weekly Deals for you to get your hands on. Scroll down for details of these, and don't forget that these prices are only available for a week.

First of all, though, I want to introduce you to another little character made using the Curvy Keepsake Box die from Stampin' Up!: meet Pippa the Penguin! (She was going to be a boy before I added the bow, but then I thought that was a bit too girly for her to be a boy penguin.) Isn't she cute? Again, really quick and simple to make, and yet another demonstration of the versatility of our punches. I can imagine her sitting on a Christmas windowsill, or how about using her as a quirky decoraton for your tree? Here's how she's made...

The oh-so-useful Owl Builder Punch was used to create her features (check out the little heart used to make her beak), and then I added an Extra-large Oval in Whisper White for her tummy, and half a Modern Label for each of her dinky little feet peeping out underneath.

As before, the sentiment is from the exclusive Hostess Stamp Set "Good Greetings" (I still have a leetle bit of space in October if you want to host a party to earn this one). I'm going to miss this one when it's gone, so make sure you get your party booked NOW so you don't lose out.

More Curvy Keepsake Box ideas on their way soon....

And now, I promised you some more Weekly Deals. Here they are:

If you haven't got that Petite Curly Label Punch, you NEED to get hold of it - it's SOOOOOO useful!

These deals are only around until close of play next Tuesday, so make sure you hop over to my Online Shop to take advantage before they're gone. As always, if you can collect from me in Kesgrave, get in touch, 'cause I'll be able to save you something on the shipping cost.

Thanks for dropping by, and I'll be back with you again soon. Have fun! xx

Hello! Can I get away with sharing something Christmassy now that it's October? Let's hope so!

Isn't this just the most adorable Father Christmas box?! It's made with the Curvy Keepsake Box die that I've been sharing in the last few posts.

Don't you love it?! I think this Curvy Keepsake Box die is the cleverest thing ever - I haven't even scratched the surface of the things you can make with it. How sweet would this be as an addition to someone's Christmas Stocking?

This Father Christmas (Santa, if you prefer) is really simple to make just by adding a few punched details to the basic box. Everything you need is available from my Online Shop, and you can find the main items listed in the table at the end of this post. Enjoy!

Thanks for dropping in, and I'll be back with more soon. xx

Well, I did tell you I loved this die! What do you think to this great little Frankenstein's Monster box? Isn't it cute?! I had an absolute ball creating this one.

Hallowe'en isn't as big in the UK as it seems to be in the States, and for the most part I'm glad of that (I dread the armies of teenagers who terrorise the neighbourhood for that one evening). However, when it comes to creating things like this I wish we did celebrate it a bit more - it's such good fun to create all sorts of fun and spooky things. And of course this would make a fantastic box for popping "treats" inside, for those callers that you DO want to answer the door to.

As well as the Curvy Keepsake Box die, this project really shows the versatility of the Owl Builder Punch, which is what I used to create his eyes and nose. The hair is created by cutting Basic Black cardstock with just the top of the die, and then trimming it to create the "fringe" details. All the other details are simply added on with Stampin' Write Markers. I keep telling you I can't draw, so I'm really pleased with how this turned out! Even if he does look a bit bemused / hungover (take your pick!).

As always, you can get hold of everything I've used in my Online Shop. The main things are linked in the table at the end of this post - just click on a thumbnail and you'll be taken to more information about that particular item.
